Dr. Nina Wolfrum is Director Aerodynamics in Research & Development at MTU Aero Engines and an Honorary Professor at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). She holds a Diploma and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Munich. During her studies, she completed a research stay at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she conducted work related to her master’s thesis.
Throughout her career at MTU Aero Engines, Dr. Nina Wolfrum has held various technical and leadership positions. Her expertise includes turbomachinery aerodynamics as well as high-performance computing methods for the simulation of aerodynamic, aeroacoustic, and aeroelastic phenomena. She has contributed to the development of advanced numerical methodologies and the design of highly efficient propulsion system components. In addition to her technical responsibilities, she served as Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer, gaining valuable insight into corporate strategy, executive decision-making, and organizational leadership. Today, she leads the Aerodynamics organization within MTU’s R&D division, driving innovation in future propulsion technologies.
Alongside her industrial career, Dr. Nina Wolfrum is actively engaged in academia through her honorary professorship at the Technical University of Munich, where she teaches and supports the education of future aerospace engineers.
After studying humanities and social sciences in Freiburg, Ioannina (Greece) and Munich and obtaining her doctorate, Mirjam Storim initially worked as a strategy consultant at Mercer Management Consulting and as deputy managing director of the Eberhard von Kuenheim Foundation of BMW AG. In 2009, she moved to the BMW Group, where she was responsible for various departments including the company’s trade policy positioning, strategic resource allocation and value creation as well as Innovation strategy and scientific cooperation. She also worked as a Freelance consultant for Corporate Strategy and Identity.
In 2024, she took over the management of the „Siemens Research & Innovations Ecosystem“ at Siemens AG, since February 2025 the “Strategy & Technology Relations” within the “Foundational Technologies” of the company.
Mirjam is involved in a number of scientific and science-related organizations, including as Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Fraunhofer Institute for Innovation and Systems Research in Karlsruhe, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hochschule für Philosophie and as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the R&D survey of the Stifterverband Wissenschaftsstatistik for the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Sarah Yvonne Elßer has specialized as a host, speaker and trainer on the subject of “New Technology & New Mobility”. She has studied journalism and worked over 5 years as a reporter for a science magazine at the television. She’s a serial Entrepreneur: In 2018, she founded her first B2B content marketing company and in 2022 her current company Tech Well Told.
Together with her team she helps as a “nerd interpreter” to convey the complex solutions, products, and innovations in a way that can be understood and accepted. Her purpose: helping people to overcome their uncertainty about new technology and making sure, that no one will be left behind in case of understanding innovations.
Sarah is the founder of the tech communications agency Tech Well Told GmbH. Her customers include Vodafone, Mercedes, Porsche, Volkswagen, Telekom, TRUMPF, bitkom, EPOS, Schaeffler, Samsung and many more.
Ramona Rist is Technical Assistant to the Managing Director of Engineering at AGCO GmbH in Marktoberdorf. In this role, she supports strategic and operational decision-making, represents the Development department across brands and international projects, and drives initiatives to enhance efficiency and innovation in product development. With a strong background in validation processes, systems engineering, and cross-functional project management, Ramona brings a deep understanding of how to align engineering excellence with organizational strategy. Dr. Elena Mercep is a technology expert and product development professional with over a decade in the MedTech, Life Sciences, and Pharmaceutical industries. Elena has a practitioner’s approach to solving customer problems and specializes in the end-to-end productionization of innovative digital solutions—from development to deployment. In her current role as Product Owner, Imaging AI at AstraZeneca in Munich, she works closely with users and external partners to advance the company’s image analysis platform, empowering AstraZeneca’s R&D teams to deliver life-changing medicines.
Before joining AstraZeneca, she held several senior roles at the intersection of engineering, solution architecture, and product strategy across MedTech, Extended Reality (XR), and AI domains. Elena holds a doctoral degree from the Technical University of Munich, has authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals and co-invented a patent for a novel multimodal imaging system.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sabine Ardey
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sabine Ardey holds the Chair of Test and Simulation for Gas Turbines at the Technical University of Munich and is Director of the Institute for Test and Simulation for Gas Turbines at the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
She studied Aeronautics at TUM and built an extensive industrial career at MTU Aero Engines, where she held several leadership roles in aerodynamics, performance, control systems, and software development. She later served in multiple senior management positions at BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, including Head of Digital Operations and Corporate Program Lead for Product Lifecycle Management. Her work bridges advanced engineering, digitalization, and large-scale industrial application.
Dr. Astrid Rota completed her studies at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) as a graduate engineer and obtained her doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) at the University of Bremen in the field of Production Engineering with a focus on powder metallurgy process development. For over ten years, Astrid Rota worked at the Fraunhofer IFAM in Bremen, developing innovative manufacturing technologies utilizing powder metallurgy. Her work focused on strategically and market-oriented research and development activities for various industries, including medical technology, energy, and automotive.
Dr. Rota also gained further experience as the director of an internal start-up for energy storage solutions at SGL Carbon, where she achieved sustainable economic success. More than seven years, she has led the area of metal process technology at EOS – electro optical systems, a leading solution provider for industrial 3D printing. There, she was responsible for the development of metallic materials and processes, defining the hardware and software requirements for new systems with her team. Dr. Rota significantly advanced the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) technology. She continuously identified potential improvements for products to meet customer needs and worked on expanding the fundamental understanding of Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) as a strategic prerequisite for future developments.
Since 2023, Dr. Astrid Rota has taken over the management of the Additive Manufacturing division at Kurtz GmbH & Co. KG. She will now lead the corporate division for metallic 3D printing within the Kurtz Ersa Group. This start-up-like organisation aims to bring scalable systems for the production of homogeneous metallic components of various build sizes to the market.
Kathrin Anandasivam is Vice President Technology & Innovation at TRUMPF SE & Co. KG, where she and her team support and drive the strategic direction and advancement of technological innovations. In her role, she operates at the intersection of business units, central functions, and top management, actively shaping the company’s future viability. With a clear focus on enabling and governance, she brings structure to complex innovation processes and ensures transparency and efficiency – even across organizational boundaries.
Prior to this, she spent over four years at TRUMPF Machine Tools, where she was responsible for Research & Development and led a global team of around 1,000 employees. Her career began in Operations and evolved through various specialist and leadership roles at TRUMPF – from Lean Management consulting and heading different Operations areas to leading apprenticeship department and development programs in HR, and eventually managing technological domains.
Her goal in her current role is not only to enable innovation but to embed it sustainably – through clear structures, effective processes, strong capabilities, and cross-company networking.

Célia Bartel is a French engineer who has lived in Germany for 13 years. She began her career as a systems engineer in secondary radar surveillance at Cassidian, which later became HENSOLDT, where she gained extensive experience in product development, customer project execution, and bid phases. Over the years, she expanded her expertise into sales and bid management before taking on leadership roles as team lead and later head of a systems engineering department in Munich.
Since 2023, Célia has been leading the Primary Radar Engineering division in Ulm. She is committed to a participative leadership style built on trust, transparency, and continuous feedback, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Passionate about process and organizational improvements, she drives structural, procedural, and cultural changes that enhance both efficiency and employee well-being.

Dr. Kira Giesecke is a results‑driven executive with more than ten years of experience in engineering, PLM implementation and process management. In the role of Head of Value Chain Process, she is responsible for the optimisation and automation of the entire value‑creation chain, leveraging AI technologies to increase efficiency, quality and speed across the product lifecycle. She designed and implemented a company‑wide AI architecture and developed a virtual assistant that handles repetitive tasks, overseeing its promotion and internal adoption. She also launched an AI fundamentals training programme that reached 6 000 employees, piloted the organization’s compliance with the EU AI Act, and built a multidisciplinary AI team while defining a strategic roadmap for AI integration throughout the product‑development process.

Throughout her career, Katharina has led large engineering and operations organizations, successfully transforming complex programs and driving collaboration across diverse teams. She is recognized for her ability to create structure, inspire people, and deliver sustainable results in highly international environments.
In addition to her role, Katharina is a leading figure in the Women’s Network at Airbus Manching, representing and supporting diversity and inclusion at a site with more than 6,000 employees.

Dr. Alice Glättli
Dr. Alice Glättli is Senior Vice President, Digitalization, Automation & Innovation Management at BASF SE. She studied chemistry at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and Zurich (ETH) and earned her PhD in molecular dynamics simulation at the Institute of Physical Chemistry at ETH Zurich.
She joined BASF in 2005 as Lab Team Leader in Computational Chemistry & Biology and went on to hold leadership positions in product management, executive staff functions in Germany and the United States, and strategy and sustainability in Performance Chemicals. Since 2023, she has been responsible for driving BASF’s global digitalization, automation, and innovation management agenda.
Claudia Wagner
Claudia Wagner is an operations and supply chain leader with 10+ years of experience across the manufacturing value chain, managing global SMEs with multiple production sites.
Since 2018, she has served as EVP Operations at Uster Technologies AG, leading international teams across Switzerland, China, and the USA to manufacture and deliver quality measurement instruments for the textile industry. In this role, she drives worldwide order fulfillment and operational excellence across SCM, manufacturing, and order processing, while also owning the corporate KPI for Quality and helping shape the global Quality Management System roadmap.
Previously, Claudia was COO / Head of Operations at SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler AG, overseeing strategic sourcing, procurement, assembly, and delivery across sites in Switzerland, China, and Italy—delivering record order intake and implementing lean and transformation initiatives across the footprint.
She is also active in the community as Jury President of the Swiss Logistics Award and a board member of the POM Network at ETH Zürich.
Holding an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (TU München) and a Swiss Federal Diploma in Purchasing, she combines deep technical understanding with a passion for leadership, process excellence, and sustainability.
Sabine von der Recke is responsible for political relations, customer relations, and communications at OHB SE. She serves as a member of the Management Board of OHB System AG, one of Europe’s leading space companies and the largest subsidiary of the Group.
From 2014 to 2021, she held the position of Executive Board Representative for Political and Governmental Affairs at OHB SE in Berlin. Before that, she worked in the German Bundestag from 2008 to 2014 as a research assistant and office manager, including as an advisor to the Parliamentary Group for Aerospace. She studied political science at Philipps University in Marburg.
