However, the demand for health services in companies is undergoing significant change. Organizational health and preventive approaches are increasingly becoming a competitive advantage that companies can strategically leverage if these issues are addressed in a targeted and long-term manner. Furthermore, companies no longer need just individual services in the areas of occupational medicine, occupational safety, or occupational psychology, but rather integrated solutions consisting of individual components that mesh seamlessly and are both flexible and easy for companies to access.

That was exactly where the ias Group wanted to start with an innovation project on the topic of “Integrated Solutions and Performance Management.”

“Historically, we’ve been strongly focused on addressing customer-specific requests,” said Schröder-Wrusch, so ias had little experience in systematically developing new, innovative services. “We therefore specifically sought out external expertise in this area that was applicable to us, and after an extensive search, we found what we were looking for at 3DSE.”

Using the 3DSE “Innovation Cell” approach, an interdisciplinary team was able to develop an innovative service portfolio for the future-oriented field of performance management in a very short time. In subsequent workshops with individual business units, the topic areas were defined in more detail and incorporated into an implementation program for the further development of the new services.

“Establishing a continuous process for developing innovative services—similar to product development in high-tech industries—is the next step for us, and we’d like to tackle this together with 3DSE,” Schröder-Wrusch continued. “We still have a long way to go before we can operate at a level comparable to that of innovation leaders such as Bosch or BMW, but we are confident that, with 3DSE’s support, we will get there.”
