BSH manufactures products such as refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, ovens, and ranges at 39 locations worldwide, placing consumers at the center of its product development. <\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n BSH\u2019s product portfolio is particularly complex. In addition to the various product categories and brands such as Bosch, Siemens, and Neff, BSH aims to meet specific regional customer requirements around the world. To remain globally competitive despite increasing competition, BSH aims to be able to respond quickly to changing market demands while simultaneously leveraging synergies between the brands and the various markets. To this end, a process known as PACT was developed as early as 2012 to ensure coordination between local product management and global product development and production. PACT stands for Program<\/strong>, Product<\/strong>, andProduction Architecture<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n New organizational frameworks and the complexity of the organization led to PACT\u2019s methods being adapted over time to specific regions and product lines. This, combined with the increasing proportion of electronic and digital components in the product, made a revision of PACT necessary. For this revision, BSH decided to seek support from 3DSE, which was able to make valuable contributions through both its process expertise and its architectural experience.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \u201cDeveloping a uniform approach poses a major challenge for a global company like BSH, because different perspectives, mindsets, and regional requirements must be reconciled,\u201d says Ralf Lohmann, \u201c3DSE supports this process by developing specific content with small groups while also ensuring a consistent overall picture through regular consolidation workshops.\u201d The revised framework provides a standardized approach for identifying the same or similar customer needs across products in different regions, thereby enabling the development of modular and standardized technical solutions in product development and production. This helps strike the right balance between efficiency and customer focus.
