Following its successful support of the strategy development process in 2017 and its assistance with implementation through (semi-)annual strategy reviews, 3DSE was asked in 2023 to provide conceptual support and act as a facilitator for the development of the next strategy cycle through 2027.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
To kick off the process, a structured survey was conducted among executives to evaluate the results of the 2017\u20132022 strategy cycle across the dimensions of market, services, processes, and resources. The survey was used as input for a joint reflection on goal achievement during a management strategy workshop. Following a critical analysis of successes and areas for improvement, the strategic assumptions, trends, and framework conditions for the WFL Strategy 2027, as well as changes in critical competitive factors, were discussed. Based on the ambitious growth targets through 2027, a strategy map was used to derive the necessary detailed objectives across the dimensions of market, services, processes, and resources, and measures for validating and planning these detailed objectives were agreed upon. Examples include the development of market entry plans for regions and new markets, the creation of a development roadmap for new products and services, concepts for digital tools and optimizations in supply chain management, and targeted planning for branch offices in new markets.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In targeted in-depth workshops with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain Management, the specific objectives were validated, a strategic action plan was developed, and a commitment to implementing the 2027 strategic goals was secured from the respective departments. Particular emphasis was placed on expanding sales capabilities, for example, by strategically building out regional sales structures, intensifying training for sales staff, and further professionalizing customer relationship management.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In the concluding executive strategy workshop, the detailed plans were consolidated, the strategy map outlining the strategic goals for 2027 was finalized, and each executive approved it. After updating the WFL Strategy Manual, the WFL Growth Strategy 2027 was communicated to the workforce.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
