Founded in 2001, the core management team has been with the company for more than fifteen years. Hands-on industry experience includes in-house expertise along with partners and external subject matter experts. With three geographic locations and core competencies in eight industry verticals, this ensures the appropriate depth of knowledge and accessibility within the consulting teams directly engaging with clients. Built in Germany, based on German engineering principles: quality, precision and reliability unpins all that 3DSE does.

Since its founding in 2007, EcoVadis has become the world’s largest and most trusted provider of corporate sustainability assessments, building an international network of more than 100,000 assessed companies. EcoVadis uses innovative technologies and sustainability expertise to help companies develop and implement sustainable business practices and provides leading sustainability monitoring solutions for global supply chains. So far, 75,000 companies have already been evaluated by the sustainability rating. 3DSE is aware of its responsibility towards the environment, and have also undergone this ranking.
EcoVadis evaluated the company based of 21 sustainability criteria in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. In recognition of our strong commitment to sustainability, we have been awarded the Silver Medal four times and the Bronze Medal once.
Enactus Munich e.V.
Enactus, an international non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire students through entrepreneurial action with more than 75,000 students across 37 countries. The network in Germany now consists of 36 different universities. Enactus stands for the entrepreneurial spirit (entrepreneurial), the will to create (action), as well as the commonality in action and values (us). Since the end of 2020, 3DSE is a cooperation partner of Enactus Munich and supports the association in the context of its own strategy development, advisory hours and method transfer (SCRUM, project management).
Manage and More
Since 2018, we have therefore been a cooperation partner of Manage and More, the Entrepreneurship Stipendium von UnternehmerTUM. For three semesters, Manage and More students can develop new products, design business models, or found their own start-up. The scholarship holders are individually supported and can attend numerous competence trainings.
Our consultants act as mentors and pass on their knowledge to the participants in so-called value stream workshops, among other things. The students can use the newly acquired knowledge to optimize their own ideas. The goal of Manage and More is to develop the skills, network, and experience of the students so that they can become successful entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs themselves. They gain experience regarding the use of innovation techniques to identify problems and be able to solve them in an entrepreneurial way.
Awards and Memberships
In addition to the proven success of repeat client engagements, 3DSE is also the holder of industry awards from Wirtschaftswoche Best of Consulting 2023, 2024 and 2025, Fair Company 2025 and Ecovadis 2025 Bronze Sustainability rating. Participation in industry organizations is an important part of staying in sync with industry wide innovations and to develop a wider network of external partners. The stated mission of FuSE is to identify critical gaps towards the vision realization, initiate and support relevant actions to foster involvement and collaboration within and outside of INCOSE. Two members of the 3DSE leadership team are founding members of INCOSE – International Council on Systems Engineering – FuSE (Future of Systems Engineering) program. Dr. Armin Schulz is member of the INCOSE advisory board since July, 2025.
3DSE is a corporate member of IPMA – International Project Management Association and with membership in the German-American Chamber of Commerce, cross-border expertise is aligned for success in the US market.
